These are from Sam Taylor-Wood's Self Portrait series "Suspended." The photos themselves have a strong emotive quality on their own but when I read the story behind them it struck my heart chord. Sam has battled both breast and colon cancer and created the Suspended series to represent her fight against these diseases. The freedom, strength and vulnerability in the photos remind me of some incredible women I know who've battled cancer.True Inspiration!
